Sweethaven Lavender of Williamsburg, VA

Sweethaven Lavender of Williamsburg, VA

I may have bought the tickets before asking if he had anything planned for us this weekend. It was a gamble...one that I was 95% sure would pan out okay:) M is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves our cameras...so needless to say I didn't have to do too much convincing on this one!!

Sweethaven Lavender is a farm just west of Williamsburg where you can pick your own bouquet of wildflowers or lavender and relax in the shade with homemade lavender ice cream and lemonade. The sun is hot on your back as you wander the trodden trails through the wildflowers, watching the bees buzz from bloom to bloom as you carefully snip your take home bouquet all the wile trying to snap images and take some videos!

Once you've spent time out in the fields, you can pop into the mercantile store and add lotions, potions and candies to your takeaway bag...all while enjoying the cool air of the AC;)

But....the real star of the show here is the lavender. I was hoping that the bushes would be a little more plentiful, but I think they may have lost a lot of them in recent months. There were quite a few gaps where plants once stood. Still, the lavender we did see was wonderful and smelled amazing!

As always, I have a lot of images to share. Sit back, grab a lemonade and enjoy my view of the farm!
