Football Sunday Means Pizza!!

Football Sunday Means Pizza!!

Can I tell you something? I'm not a die-hard football fan...so let's just get that out of the way right now:) I've never been to a professional game and I don't own a jersey of any kind.(I did however get a certain burgundy and gold blanket for Xmas this year;) But from September to January, football is on the mind of most Americans so I do turn it on most Sunday's and have it on as background noise. Plus, that Michael Strahan is a cutie;) When it does come time to root for a team, I will say that the Redskins are my jam. Maybe it's my DNA. Maybe I'm a sucker for the underdog. Maybe I like the team colors....I dunno. So, on this relatively warm Virginia Sunday, I'm gonna be rooting for the Skins this afternoon and hoping for the best outcome!

As for what to eat with a good football game....pizza always comes to mind for me. This recipe is an alternate take on the round pies we usually order from Papa Johns and the like.... It's a pull-apart pizza ring and it's....fabulous! So fabulous, I even saw a version floating around FB last week! Easy, peasy to make and fun for everyone. Enjoy and find the recipe at the bottom:)

Pull-Apart, Pizza Bread

Recipe:

2 cans pizza dough (or you can be awesome and make your own pizza dough, enough for two medium pies)
2.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
1 cup parmesan cheese shredded
1/2 cup avocado oil (Or Olive Oil, you're choice!)
2 tablespoons italian seasoning (I love Trader Joes 21 Salute seasoning)
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 small bag mini pepperonis (Feel free to add any other fillings you want)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cut your pizza dough into strips then into 1 inch squares. Mix together with the dough your olive oil, cheeses, spices and pepperonis. Once mixed together, transfer to a greased bundt pan and bake for 30 minutes. After cooling a few minutes, flip the pan and transfer to a plate. Serve with a side of dipping sauces and ENJOY!!!
