As much as I love the mountains and lakes....it's always the seaside that whispers to my heart and sends a shiver up my spine. It's home. The smell of salt in the air, boats with their rigging tied perfectly, shiny teak & brass, sea grasses and deck shoes. It all combines to create that perfect, hot summer day at the water. One of my favorite places to visit while seeing my parents is Beaufort, NC. Such a quaint seaside town. Not too big, not super small....just right....the perfect town to see in an afternoon. I don't think I'll ever tire of her gorgeous antebellum style homes and cute boutiques...no matter how many times I visit:)
